Raccoon butterflyfish

Biology

This is a nocturnal species that occurs in pairs or small groups. It inhabits lagoons and reefs and is commonly observed in rocky areas, up to 30 metres deep.

Curiosities

Like many other butterflyfish species, the raccoon butterflyfish is monogamous, that is, it maintains the same partner for several years.
