White seabream

Biology

The white seabream is a typically coastal rocky species, which lives at depths up to 50 metres. It is very active and frequently it can be found in the splash zone at dawn, where it feeds on crustaceans and molluscs.

Curiosities

The white seabream is a hermaphrodite species so that males can change into females when the number of females is very low, contributing to the reproductive success of the species.
