Because the path to sustainability also runs through what we eat, the #SeaTheFuture restaurant invites you to end your visit to the Oceanário with a tasty, sustainable meal made from organic, seasonal products of known origin, prioritising local producers and businesses.
The #SeaTheFuture menu, created by Grupo SushiCafé, offers a strong vegan and gluten-free component, with steam-cooked products, salads, sandwiches, toasties, piadinas, granolas, smoothies and fresh juices, among other healthy options. There is also a special children’s menu, with mini pancakes, soup, breaded bites, burgers and more.

Set within Oceanário de Lisboa, overlooking the Tagus river, Submerso takes diners on a journey through Portuguese cuisine and its centuries-old connections with the world – the flavours the Portuguese carried across the seas, and those other cultures brought back to Portuguese tables in return.
The result is a menu that revives authentic dishes, presenting many of them in a petisco-style format. Guests are invited to explore and share a variety of flavours within a single meal.
The philosophy is distinctly homemade. Much of the preparation takes place in the restaurant itself, using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from Portugal.
With around 70 indoor seats and a counter accommodating 12 guests, Submerso was designed to welcome Oceanário de Lisboa visitors, many of whom come from abroad. At the same time, it aims to attract families, couples and small groups living or working in the Parque das Nações area.

Yes. The Oceanário is open every day, with special opening hours on four days of the year (24 and 31 December, 25 December and 1 January).
Yes. Tickets are available from the online ticket office at tickets.oceanario.pt and also at the Oceanário physical ticket office.
Yes. In addition to the online ticket office, you can buy tickets directly at the Oceanário physical ticket desk on the day of your visit, subject to availability. If you need help with your purchase or have a specific request, email info@oceanario.pt.
Ticket prices depend on your visit time and are always free for babies up to 2 years old.
Prices refer to the Visit to Oceanário de Lisboa product. Visitors with reduced-price tickets may be asked to verify their age.
Babies up to 2 years old enter free. Children aged 3 to 12 pay the child ticket. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Yes. Visitors with a certified disability of 60% or more enter free, and one companion receives a 60% discount. This applies to the Visit to Oceanário de Lisboa product and is granted at the physical ticket office, on the day of the visit, upon presentation of the Multipurpose Disability Medical Certificate.
